Melanie Pounds has been a long time friend to Circa. She used to work at our shop in Birmingham and is now a fabulous designer on her own. Her enchanting 1400 square foot cottage is previewed in the new House Beautiful. What amazing style; very sophisticated, very beautiful. It makes you want to spend a day inside just to soak it all in!

Isn't it charming?!? These exterior benches were a Circa find.
This front entry was originally a glassed-in porch. The candle lantern is from Circa, too!
Melanie used commercial grade fabrics for the living room upholstery to handle daily wear and tear from a family of 4 and 2 dogs. She certainly didn't sacrifice an ounce of style. The multiple pieces of art flatter the room with a great deal of sophistication.
A word that I constantly hear around Circa is "quiet"..."We need to make this room more quiet, more sophisticated." In her interview, Melanie says, "When we come home, we want to calm down, light a fire, and relax in the living room with things that are quietly beautiful." What a notion; summed up perfectly in this cottage.
The kitchen's antique work table is from Circa!
This bedroom is SO enchanting. I love the custom upholstered armoire. I also love the ceiling to floor drapes that extend behind the headboard. How cozy!
Pick up a copy of the July/ August 2010 House Beautiful so you can see these photos--- this home is truly inspiring.
